We are looking for an experienced and proactive HSEQ Advisor to join the Brooks Group. This is a full-time, permanent role working 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining and continuously improving HSEQ systems and procedures.

  • Review and update policies, procedures, and SOPs for safety, quality, and environmental management.

  • Drive the implementation and application of HSEQ systems across the organisation.

  • Conduct regular workplace inspections and audits.

  • Provide specialist advice and recommendations on HSEQ matters to internal teams.

  • Collate and provide HSEQ data and documentation to relevant departments.

  • Record, report, and investigate hazards and incidents across the business.

  • Lead incident investigations and follow through with recommended corrective actions.

  • Monitor the completion of corrective actions and assist as required.

  • Maintain compliance with legislative and company HSEQ standards across all areas.

  • Ensure HSEQ records are up to date for employees and internal assets.

  • Support internal maintenance processes including inspections and test & tag procedures.

Requirements

  • Formal qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety (e.g., Cert IV, Diploma).

  • Demonstrated experience in a HSEQ advisory role.

  • Strong working knowledge of WHS legislation and Australian Standards.

  • Understanding of HSEQ management systems and ISO standards (14001, 45001, 9001).

  • Investigation training (e.g., ICAM, Root Cause Analysis).

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Current driver's licence.

  • Previous experience working with mobile plant (desirable).

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable).

  • Internal Auditor Training (desirable).

  • First Aid Certificate (desirable).

  • Willingness to travel occasionally (local and interstate).
