We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join the Brooks Hire team as a Safety Officer. This exciting new role will have a strong focus on the training and assessment of our team.  

Skills Required -

  • Cert IV in Training & Assessment - (Essential)
  • Experience in an HSEQ role - (Essential)
  • Cert IV WHS - (Preferred)
  • Previous experience in mobile plant - (Preferred)
  • SOA for excavator, skid steer, roller or front end loader- (Preferred)
  • The ability to work autonomously
  • Ability to communicate confidently, build rapport and effectively liaise with people at all levels
  • Travel will be occasionally required, both locally and interstate

The Role -

  • Co-ordinate the delivery of all operational training requirements across the Brooks Hire Eastern Region 
  • Updating, implementation and operation of HSEQ systems and procedures.
  • Ensuring compliance and standards are maintained across the Brooks Group
  • Work collaboratively to coordinate the Health, Safety, Environment and Quality strategies and initiatives.
  • Managing incident investigations and monitoring corrective actions.
