We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join the Brooks Hire team as a Procurement Specialist.

Skills Required -

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills 
  • Knowledge of key commodities including: tyres, Fuel & lubricants, OEM spares for heavy vehicles
  • Ability to interpret and understand contracts and the relevant legislation 
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications 
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage competing priorities with ease
  • 8+ years experience working in procurement, purchasing, stores and logistics in a mining, construction, engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Tertiary qualification in Finance/ Supply Chain preferred 

The Role -

  • Deliver Operational efficiencies, cost savings, innovation and improvement within the supply chain and procurement process
  • Strategic vendor evaluation, selection and management 
  • Conduct and coordinate commercial and legal negotiations with suppliers
  • Create and issue preferred supplier ship contracts 
  • Establish and manage a preferred supplier database
