Our Transport Division supports our operations across the Pilbara by safely and efficiently transporting plant and equipment to customers, branches and project sites.

We are currently seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced HC Drivers looking to join our team and work across the Pilbara region.

You will be responsible for transporting plant and equipment safely and efficiently to customer sites, with the potential for local, regional and interstate travel depending on operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transport oversized loads and heavy equipment to customer sites.

  • Load and unload equipment independently and safely.

  • Conduct thorough pre-start inspections of trucks, trailers and equipment.

  • Ensure all loads are correctly secured before and during transit.

  • Complete local, regional and long-distance deliveries, primarily using highways and interstate routes.

  • Operate quad and dolly trailer combinations where required.

  • Carry out routine maintenance and basic servicing of trucks and equipment.

  • Maintain a high standard of safety and comply with all relevant OH&S requirements.

  • Provide professional customer service and represent Brooks Hire positively at customer sites.

  • Work proactively as part of a team while also being confident working independently.

Essential Criteria

  • Current HC Driver’s Licence.

  • Demonstrated heavy haulage experience.

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience transporting oversized loads.

  • Experience undertaking long-distance trips.

  • Strong understanding and commitment to OH&S and safe work practices.

  • Ability to safely load, unload and secure heavy equipment.

  • Ability to perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment.

  • Current MSIC is highly regarded.

  • Quad and dolly trailer experience is highly regarded.

  • Machinery operation tickets are highly regarded.

  • Forklift licence is preferred.

  • Previous experience in the mining, construction or equipment hire industries is advantageous.

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
